The TradFest 2013 was honoured to host an evening concert which celebrates the unique contribution made by Barney McKenna to Irish traditional music. This special concert featured a unique gathering of acclaimed national and internationally acclaimed artists to celebrate Barney McKenna, an unique and gifted Dubliner. Acts announced so far include; Sean Keane (The Chieftans), John Sheahan, Eamon Campbell, Michael Howard, Gerry O’Connor, Sean Cannon, Liam Ó Maonlaí, Des Geraghty, Jimmy Kelly, Pat Goode, Noel O’Grady and The Young Orchestral Pops, Kieran Hanrahan, Sean Og McKenna and The McKenna Family. The sold out tribute concert for Banjo Barney at City Hall. Sean Cannon is singing at the Remembering Barney concert at the city hall, Dublin. The concert was part of Templebar Trad Fest 2013.
