On the picture they took a part in a benefit football match. Barney said he knew he had a reputation as a heavy drinker, spending nights out drinking. He wanted to make clear, that he didn’t become a virtuoso in the pub. You can bee the most gifted musician in the world, and you still need practice. Barney McKenna learned to play at home, by practicing, practicing, practicing.
